I bought Kali a jumperoo off craigslist.com for $30, which is WAYYYY better than the $80 price tag it had at Target. I cleaned it up (and sanitized it of course) and it was finally ready for Kali to enjoy last night. TJ has been working nights this week, so he was sleeping when we got home. I decided to make dinner and wait until he woke up to put her in the jumperoo so that he could be there too. He has missed some of her 'firsts' so I wanted to make sure that he was able to join in on this one.
While I was making dinner, Kali decided to roll over....and I didn't see it. She has been doing this to me for DAYS! And it's killing me. She did it the other day while I was sitting at the computer paying bills (yay me.....UGH!) and I tried to capture her doing it again on camera, but she REFUSED to do it. This is becoming a habit of hers. Anytime she sees either my camera or my phone, she stops doing whatever cute thing she was doing before I grabbed the camera. Starting to wear on my nerves a little. Anyhoo.......
I really wanted to record her rolling over, so I set her on her back on her tummy time mat and then "hid" in the kitchen where she couldn't really see me with the camera. And VIOLA...I captured her rolling over! YAY!!! But if I'm going to have to "hide" from her every time I want to capture a special moment on camera I'm going to scream! NOT FAIR...I love to take pictures and MY KID is the one that doesn't like camera....UGH, such is my life.So here it is...for your enjoyment!!!!! =)
I was a little excited!!! HAHA
After that, I still had to make dinner. So I put her in her Bumbo in the kitchen with me. She only tolerates this thing. She'll sit in it until she gets board....and then scrambles to get out. HAHA
After dinner we finally got to put her in the jumperoo. At first she wasn't sure how to react, but then she liked it. Here's a picture of her in it...
Yup...she's adorable! :)
And here is the video of her in the Jumperoo for the first time!!
So that was the majority of our night. She loved it, and then we did her bedtime routine: bath, lotion, story, bottle, Mommy Sleeper hold and GOOD NIGHT KALI!! =)
