5 MONTHS

I can't believe I just wrote that! Kali is 5 months old! I feel like it was just yesterday when TJ and I went to Larry's Giant Subs (OMG YUMMY) for my egg salad sandwich before heading to the hospital. ::Sigh::

Last night I attempted to take some pictures of Kali with her "I'm 5 months old today" sign.  I say attempted because she DID NOT want to cooperate.  So I'm going to have a re-take photo session with her this afternoon when I get off work.  But for now...here are the "best" ones from yesterday! Enjoy my little 5 month wonder :)

This is the only "smile" I got on camera.
As soon as I'd put the camera down, she'd be all grins...UGH!
That's my kid, the one that doesn't like the camera.  And I'm the mom who LOVES to take pictures.

"Well now, this looks yummy.  I love when mom gives me yummy treats.  I think I'll enjoy it now." :)

My mom was trying to hold the sign so Kali wouldn't try to eat it again....
But then she just wanted to stare at it like "But I just wanna TRY it.  I won't eat the whole thing."
"Pictures are dumb!"
She was trying to eat the camera (like everything else!).  And when I told her "No." This is what I got.
I love that drooly face!

5 Month Stats:

Weight: Probably about 18lbs.  I love all your chub!!
Height: At your 4mo appt you were 25.5 inches.  I'm not sure if you've grown a lot past that, but my guess would be 26 inches =)
Eating: You're still taking a 4oz bottle every 3-4 hours, plus eating a veggie every night.  So far we've tried: Green Beans, Carrots, Peas, Squash, and last night we attempted Prunes.  You're doing great with eating solids.  Sounds like we're going to start bumping you up to 2 a day.  With a fruit in the morning and then veggie for dinner.  You're getting so big!!
Sleep:  You have been wonderful with sleeping, and love your crib!  Bedtime is between 8-9pm.  Bath normally starts at 8 and you're asleep by 9, but sometimes you're just too tired from a fabulous day with Grandma/Mema & Papa that you can't wait until 9 to go to sleep.  Once you're asleep, you normally wake up about 6am.  Dad or I will go get you from your crib and take that hour to snuggle in the bed with you before we get up for work.  That and bedtime are my favorite parts of the day! I love snuggling with you!!!
Accomplishments:  You're trying to sit up on your own, but you're just not there quite yet.  But if I hold your hands or a pillow is behind you, you can sit up for a long time.  You are rolling around like crazy! We've resorted to just laying a big blanket on the floor with toys all around so you can just roll to whichever you want to play with.  It's hysterical to watch!  You've also just figured out the jumperoo and have begun to LOVE it! Before it was all about the toys that are attached, but now you're actually jumping and can spin around.  You've also just started to sort of scoot.  If there is something that you really want to get to, you'll roll and then do this scooch thing til you get to it.  You can raise up on your arms and do a complete push up, so I'm sure crawling is in the near future!  You are really starting to enjoy stroller rides around the neighborhood and love staring at all the trees.  Dad can't wait to put your swing in the Magnolia tree in the front of the house.  I bet that's going to be his weekend project just for you! =)

I just love you to pieces and can't believe how big you're getting! Next thing I know you'll be crawling all over the house! I can't wait!!
I LOVE YOU, MY LOVIE!!!
