1 year ago...

I meant to post this yesterday, but got side-tracked at work (dang work...always gets in the way of my social like!! HAHA).
On Sunday, February 6th it had been 1 year since I found out I was pregnant.  I remember the day like it was yesterday!
TJ had been out of town working for almost a week.  I had taken so many tests that it wasn't a big deal.  I had told myself on the Thursday before that if I hadn't started my period by Saturday that I was going to take a test.  And so when Saturday morning rolled around I didn't really give POAS (peeing on a stick) much thought.  So I did.  Then set it down and went to have some breakfast.  I had completely forgotten about the test so after about 30 minutes I realized I hadn't checked it.  So I went into the bathroom and saw the 2 lines.  I FREAKED! So I immediately drank an entire bottle of water and POAS again.  This time I watched it very closely.  And sure enough...2 lines came up.  So I got dressed and rushed to the store! I picked up 2 more boxes of tests (can you tell that I wasn't prepared for a positive??) and went straight home.  I eventually took 6 tests and they were all positive.
At this point, I finally got excited.  I couldn't wait for TJ to get home.  So I laid them all out on the counter and patiently waited for TJ.  When he came home, I showed him around the house at all the things I had done while he was gone (we had just purchased the house, so there were lots of things that I did to each room).  Finally I got to the master bathroom. I told him that I fixed the shelves in the bathroom and I wanted him to check them out.  I waited by the bed for him to see the tests.  It took him a minute to really process what he was looking at.  But when he did, he had the biggest smile on his face.  He said "Are these real?" I said "Of course they are!" And he came and gave me a huge hug!
Who would have thought that I would be sitting here with a beautiful little girl after that day?
Amazing what one year can do in your life!!
