And the Worst Mom of the Year Award goes to....

ME!!!!!
Yesterday TJ had to leave to go help a friend with something.  So I had Kali. She was a little fussy and didn't want to do anything.  No tummy mat! No jumper! No mommy's lap! No Swing! Nothing!  So I put her in her bouncer while I went to make her a bottle.
Similac has the Simplepacs which is a large container! We love them because they last longer than those small tins and are perfect for the counter for everyday use.  BUT they have this stupid foil seal on them that rips EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. you go to open the container.
Well of course, I had to open a new one.  As I opened it...it ripped (surprised? Not me!) and powder goes all over the floor.  So I have to clean it up.  After it's all clean and off the floor, I start making the bottle. Next thing I hear is a thump and Kali start crying.
I ran in the living room and she is sprawled out on the floor crying.  I scoop her up and try to calm her down.  After a few minutes of crying (both Kali and me!) she finally calms down.  I go in her room to change her diaper and check her out.  As I'm changing her diaper.....she....get this...SMILES AT ME!!! UGH! This kid sends me on a roller coaster!
Apparently what had happened was...she was trying to sit up in the bouncer.  She thinks that she's a big girl already and wants to sit up and not lay back.  Well she leaned too far forward and flipped right out of the bouncer.  Good thing that it's only about 4 inches off the ground, and she wasn't on the couchr or something. Sheesh.....
She's fine.  I call my friend Theresa who works at our Pediatrician's office and she said that as long as her eyes look fine and she's not vomiting, she's fine.  Well her eyes were fine and there was no vomiting. So I gave her the bottle and she took a nap. And of course, she woke up just fine.
I felt like the worst mom in the world.  And of course, TJ was great about it.  Said it could have happened to either of us. And she's fine.....DAMN IT! I thought for sure he'd be the first one to drop her.  Man....... :(
The little red mark on her forehead was gone before bedtime.  But boy did I want to stay home with her today and just watch her.  UGH!
