Halloween Party

TJ and I took Kali to a friend's Halloween party. I'm trying to get every penny out this costume! She wore it to the party, we're going to a festival at TJ's Mom's church on Sunday, and then another festival as well as trick-or-treating on Monday. It was a costume party, but TJ and I weren't initially going to dress up.  But I was convinced otherwise... I wanted to go as a "family" costume and coordinate with Kali's ladybug costume.  But we couldn't really find anything that went together.  SOOOOOOO, I went as Snooki and TJ went as Pauly D from Jersey Shore.  We were able to wear our own clothes and just whore-ify me and "blow out" TJ's hair.  LOL!
So THIS is what TJ and I were supposed to be. :-)

And THIS is what we looked like:
Pretty good, huh?!

TJ and Kalibug

Me and my Kali

The Family

It was pretty fun. I used some Clinique bronzer that I had gotten for free.  I only used it on my face, which meant that my face was super bronze and tan, and then the rest of me was pale white like normal. Pretty darn funny!
TJ had gotten me a wig to wear to do the Jersey Shore Poof.  But it looked horrible.  So once I looked at the wig, I figured out how to do it myself.  And I was able to do the poof.  I don't think it looked that bad.  I joked with TJ that I would do my hair like that everyday! LOL!!! I would never! hahaha!

Now, I can't wait until Monday to take Kali trick-or-treating. She was so adorable as a little ladybug, and the costume didn't seem to bother her too much.  I thought she would fight the hoodie, but she didn't seem to mind.  It was cute!!!!!  More pictures to come after Sunday and Monday's outings, for sure! :-)

The Circus

Last night, we went to the circus. It had been about 20 years since the last time I went to the circus (if not more) and apparently TJ's first time as well as Kali's.  We had such a great time.
A bunch of our friends got together with their kids/nieces and we all took a trip out to the circus.
While finding our seats, we found the tigers! Kali's favorite.  She kept pointing and talking about the tigers.  And would periodically say "Rawr" at them.  Luckily, they were the first act, so I think that's what Kali in the mood for the circus.
Here are the tigers in their cages before it started.
They were so pretty, and so close to us!

Attempting to take a family picture.
Kali didn't want to smile.

The Tiger show.
There was one that really didn't want to cooperate with the trainer.
It was pretty funny.  He would tell it to lay down,
and it would snarl at him. LOL.
I was rooting for the tiger!!! :-)

I think this picture was me trying to capture the defiant tiger.
It in front of the trainer, so I don't think you can really see it.
That's what we get for buying the cheap seats! LOL

Kali being mesmerized by the tigers (and me trying to watch over her shoulder since she was standing on my lap.)

Pointing and "talking" to the tigers

Family picture!

The lady in the red was balancing on her head, spinning in a circle, and then started juggling!
Now THAT'S what I call talent!

The elephants!
They were awesome.
Anything that large really is awesome anyway!

Those were some tiny stools for the elephants to be sitting/standing on.

Now this joker, got in that cannon and was shot across the tent.
I'm sure someone had to hold his sign before he came out on stage.
I know he wouldn't want to lose it.
(Bill Engval fans will totally get that joke!)

All-in-all, we had a great time.  However, I woke up this morning with a serious allergy attack, and haven't really been able to kick it since.  But it's a small price to pay for Kali and TJ being able to enjoy the circus!

Tomorrow we're heading to the Pumpkin Patch and a pumpkin carving party! I can't wait.  We're going to try and get some of the same pictures we took last year when we went to the pumpkin patch.  Pictures to come.

1 Year!!

Kali is officially 1 year, 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,736 hours, 525,600 minutes, 31,536,000 seconds old.  DANG! This has been a wonderful/crazy/fantastic/scary/blissful year!

Here are some pictures of my beautiful 1 year old, and her 1 year stats!! :)

My new favorite picture of Kali
I love this meek smile and those big beautiful blue eyes!

"Hey, girl, Hey!" :-)

Cheesing during her birthday dinner at Red Elephant!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!!!
10/10/11

Cheesing that beautiful smile!
WITH ALL THOSE TEETH!!!

12 Month Stats:
Weight
: 24lbs

Height: 30.5 inches

Eating: You basically eat anything that we eat (minus shellfish and nuts). You still have your favorites, and I love to see you eat all those fruits and veggies! You're also completely off the bottle, and transitioned to whole cow's milk instead of formula.  Since mommy and daddy drink the Organic milk, that's what we've been giving you. And it's also better for you since it has added DHA for brain development.  (And we know you're SOOOO smart!!!)

Sleep: I think you have MORE teeth coming in, so you're waking up at least once a night.  But, I can't say I'm hating those snuggle sessions with you.

Accomplishments: FULL ON WALKING!!!!!  I kept saying that I really wanted you to be walking by your birthday party so that you could enjoy the park! And sure enough, the week before your party you started walking! It was wonderful.  And then the week of your birthday, you learned how to stand yourself up.  You're getting so big!!!
You have 7 teeth now, and I think you're getting some more.  And boy are those 7 teeth sharp!
You're starting to talk more and can say: dog, Junior, Mama, Dada, Bub Gup (for Bubble Guppies), Bu bu (for Bunny-your Lovie), and Bye.
You had your 12 month appointment on 10/14 and I asked the doctor about your speech and where you should be.  She said that at 12 months a child should be saying 2 words, and be able to recognize a few things (such as the dog).  I told her all the things you can say and point out.  The doctor said that she would put you on the achievement level of a 15 month old.  Then she said "Pretty soon she'll be blowing kisses".  I looked at her and said, but she already does that, and then you blew the doctor a kiss.  She said that she would now put you on a 16-18 month level! I was so excited.  The doctor said that you're learning at a great speed and that you're advanced for your age! I'm so proud of you and love you so much! You are definitely my pride and joy!
Can't wait to see what you're going to be doing next month!

I LOVE YOU!!!

Kali's First Birthday Party

Well it's finally over.  We had Kali's first Birthday Party. It went great!
We are so blessed with everyone that came out and celebrated with us. And Kali has so many new toys and some fabulous clothes!
I'm, of course, exhausted.  But it was well worth it to watch Kali have such a wonderful time at the park and with everyone that came!
Now onto come pictures :)

Present Time!

And Kali said, "Let's eat cake" :-)

So messy, but so cute :-)

It was a great day! And we're so happy and exciting and blessed to have this beautiful little girl in our life for a year now.  She has really made our lives better in so many ways! Can't wait to see what the next year holds for us.
Her real birthday is on Monday, and thankfully I'm off because it's Columbus Day.  I think we're going to go do something fun to celebrate her birthday and open some more presents from mom and dad (Cause she has to have something on her actual birthday to open!).
I love my monster!!!

Just one week

In just one week, my little baby is going to turn ONE. She's not going to be a baby anymore.  She's a walking, talking, smiling, giggling, curious, awesome little girl.

I'm not ready for this!

I'm not ready for her to be a big girl!

I'm not ready for her to be ONE!

OK...I'm going to go cry now.
